There are a few products that are said to be replacing flower food. This “golden advice” isn’t really what it seems. It won’t have a positive effect; and isn’t that cheap either.
Is your customer worth 6 euro cent?
Why would you add a 90 euro cent bottle of Sprite or 7Up if you could have a perfectly dosed flower food sachet at about 6 euro cent. Why would you use aspirins if you know that it will cause petal burn in only just a few days.
To show how important the proper dosing of flower food is to flower life, a test was completed placing 'Royalty' and 'Samantha' roses in different concentrations of flower food solutions. The chart above displays the average flower vase life at each level of flower food use.
